  40. Hi! I am a retired firefighter and 20 year firehouse cook. I am celebrating my 11th anniversary with my wife. We have two sons, our 9 year old is a kid chef and baker. My wife is a baker extrodinare and I am the cook & grill guy of the house. The kitchen is our center of activity and we are a family of culinarians. My oldest son Matt, is an aspiring law enforcement officer. But even Matt loves to cook and eat. We explore the world too by seeing a reciepe that they eat there. We recently explored Brittish receipes like Beef Wellington and Yorkshire pudding. My son Chuck hit it out of the park with his “Crazy Good Oatmeal Cookies” – he used cranberries and walnuts instead of raisins. Its a part of his “atheletes diet” that he’s working into his recipe book.

We are also working on a family cookbook too. You can also follow us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/groups/whatscookingwithderilandpatty
